Dress: JCrew (thrifted), Necklace: JCrew, Bracelet: Vintage, Shoes: Franco Sarto
This right here folks is a thrifting victory.
I had my eye on a JCrew wool dress like this for years,
but didn't want to pay $180 for one.
Then one magical day,
I went into my thrift store and found this one
for the low price of $12.
And when you only pay $12 for a dress,
you can then afford to buy it in the wrong size
(this was a 2, and I needed 0)
and have alterations adjust it to custom fit you.
I think I paid about $30 to have the waist taken in
and the shoulders raised,
and now I have a perfectly fit dress.
Side note,
one day I promise our backyard overhaul will be finished.
And then I will have outfit post pics
that don't have stray patio furniture in the back.
Is that not the PERFECT LBD!? even better for it being a steal :) Love how you paired it with the leopard (or cheetah?) print belt and those shoes! I'm digging the black & brown.

ReplyDeleteWow, a great dress for a great deal! I can never find clothes that fit at thrift stores, but yes, if it's something that's really good quality, alterations might be a good option...
