Gluten Free Portland Series: Petunia's Pies and Pastries

5.20.2013

Welcome to my first post on living Gluten Free in Portland!
These posts will pop up now and again to help others navigate the city
while living gluten free.

Today's post is on gluten free bakeries.
If you are visiting the area,
I'd highly recommend doing a tour de bakeries.
Portland has some amazing options to choose from!

First up is a recap of Petunia's!

Petunia's Pies and Pastries
610 SW 12th Avenue,
Portland, OR 97205

Petunia's is a new bakery in the gluten-free Portland scene,
opening their store front a little over two months ago.
The business is owned and run by a young woman
who began cooking gluten free treats from her home kitchen
before offering them up for sale at the Portland Farmers Market.

The entire bakery is gluten free and vegan,
which means once you walk in the door
the gluten free community can pick anything they want to order!
They prepare a mixture of baked goods, savory items, and cocktails.

If you stop by, be sure to get the salted caramel cookie bar.
I cannot stress this enough.
It is by far my favorite on their menu!

Coming up next time is a review of Crave Bakeshop.
