Saturday Night at the Drive-In

4.23.2012

This past weekend
Husband and I decided we needed
to go out for a date.

We've been married for almost a year now
(I can't believe how the time flies)
and we both admitted we'd gotten lazy.
We use to go out all the time,
but recently we've been so worn out
from work, home repairs, etc.
that we spend most of our date nights
watching movies at home and eating gluten-free pizza.

We were trying to decide what to do,
and I remembered the old drive-in theater.
What could more romantic,
than snuggling up with some blankets
and watching an old fashioned drive-in movie?
Plus, they were doing a double feature
of the Hunger Games and Wrath of the Titans.

It was completely romantic,
and we have every intention of going back soon.

  4. I have never been to a drive in and now I feel like I am missing out on something huge. Like eating popcorn in the car.

  6. I love drive in movies! Except, I get really anal about the car battery dying out on us so I don't go to them that often. I want to eat popcorn in my car.

And how amazing is this weather? SCARY.

  9. haha we're the same way! we always say: "maybe we should go somewhere special for date night and get all dressed up 'n fancy..." and then we look at each other and say: "nawww... i'd rather snuggle with pizza and a movie"

i like to think of it as a sign of a mature relationship ;)
