Leather and Sparkle

12.05.2013

Pants: Banana Republic, Shirt: JCrew, Peplum: Target, Necklace: Stella & Dot, Bracelets: 1, 2, 3, 4

Just a quick couple of photos from when we were visiting the in laws
and I was sporting an arm party and my favorite new tassel necklace.

This whole Stella & Dot job will never get old as long as there is jewelry involved.
I mean seriously.
Love.

Weddings

9.25.2013

Dress/Necklace: JCrew, Purse: Target, Shoes: Coach

I attended my final wedding of the summer a few weekends ago.
It was such an honor to be a part of so many special days.

I bought this dress a few years ago for my bachelorette party,
and since then I have been able to use it at least once a year
to attend a wedding.
I guess that's what they say about 'investment pieces'.
You really do get your money's worth out of them.

Shirt/Necklace: JCrew, Purse: Coach, Pants/Shoes: Target

I bought these jeans about a year ago at Target
thinking I'd be able to wear them with everything,
Well, I don't know what it is,
but I have THE HARDEST TIME finding things to wear these with.
Maybe the wash is too faded?
I don't know.
I always feel like I am trying too hard when I put them on.
Might be time to donate these...

Just Like Pajamas

6.19.2013

Dress/Shoes: Target, Shirt: Gap (thrifted), Jewelry: H&M, Purse: Coach
Seriously.
Why did no one tell me wearing a maxi
was like walking around in socially acceptable pajamas all day?
I mean HOW did I miss this??

Clearly I need to stock up on my maxi dresses.
Like pronto.
If you haven't worn one yet,
I highly recommend you check them out!

My Husband Picked This Out

6.05.2013

Shirt: thrifted, Jeans: JCrew (stolen from my sister), Belt: JCrew, Purse: Target, Necklace: Banana Republic

True story:
My husband picked out this outfit.

I kept trying to add a sequin vest or something with sparkle to it,
but he kept insisting I stick to the basics.
All in all I was pretty happy with it!
And it was a good reminder that sometimes less is more.
Although I did manage to sneak in a few neon touches!

That 70's Show

5.22.2013

Dress: Old Navy, Boots: Tahari, Blazer: H&M, Jewelry: H&M, Target, F21

I wore this outfit to my sister's college graduate this past weekend.
Her college is a little more on the casual side,
and I wanted to be dressed up,
but not too over dressed.
You know what I mean?

The campus made for a beautiful background for these photos.
I just wish it had stopped raining
for more than the ten minutes it took me to take these pictures.
Good thing I whipped out the camera when I did!

Also, true story about this dress:
I totally got this for ten dollars.
The dress was on promo at Old Navy,
and then this one was damaged out at 50% off.
Why was it damaged out you ask?
Because it is a petite cut that is tagged as a regular.
I'm not sure why they decided that made it worth 50% off,
but I wasn't about to argue with the good folks of Old Navy!
