Shine Bright Like a Diamond

I wore this outfit to work last week,
and the office ladies and I dubbed this my 'diamond' outfit.
Because I sparkled everywhere I walked.

Sometimes you just need to add a little sparkle.
And walk around signing Rhianna under your breath all day!

New Riding Boots

I didn't mean to buy these boots.
In fact, I bought them earlier in the year and returned them
because I just couldn't afford to spend hundreds of dollars on shoes.
But despite my best effort, they called  to me.

It started with an innocent trip to DSW.
I was picking something up in the area and kind wandered in to kill time.
And then I found them.
My boots.
In a size 5 1/2 (a rarity these days),
in the clearance section for super cheap,
in the color I wanted,
and in a low heel (practically flat) like I'd been searching for all winter.

I call this a fashion sign that these boots needed to be mine.
You just can't say no to destiny like that folks!

Favorite Accessory

While I don't actually wear these earrings EVERY day...
they do seem to be popping up in my outfit posts a lot!
Which happens when you wear them every OTHER day I guess!

My mother picked these out for my from Anthropologie a year or two ago.
I love the bright jewel tone.
It instantly adds glam to any outfit I pair them with.
And aside from pearl studs,
these are really the only other earrings I wear.

Floral and Polka Dots

Someone once asked "Floral or Polka Dots"

to which I replied, "Umm, both?"

The sunshine finally came out in Oregon,

and I was really excited to bust out some summer shirts.

I picked this one up at Anthro at their Black Friday sale 

for the cool price of fifteen dollars.

It was originally over one hundred dollars (#winning!)

I love the look of floral and polka dots for summer.

They are fun, flirty, and just make me want to frolic in some sunshine.

Also, can we get a round of applause for my new purse?

After my post about how a person's purse is an extension of themselves

and pretty much a carrier of all your worldly possessions,

Husband surprised me with this gorgeous bag from Coach.

I know, he got me Coach.

There was several exclamations of excitement,

dancing around the house,

twirling at the Coach store,

and generally giddiness when I picked this one out.

Jewel Tones

I know colored jeans were all the craze last summer,

but most of the time I have to wear trousers for my job.

So this year I am focusing on colored and patterned trousers.

They make me feel a little more like my office outfit has some sass! 

These were found on a clearance rack at Nordstrom Rack for twenty dollars.

If there had been more of these there I would have bought every color. 

But then that probably wouldn't have been responsible spending...

Errands

I make Husband do that.
But it sounds good right?
